Once Jordan Walker 'relaxed' his swing took flight, carrying him back to majors: Cardinals Extra

PITTSBURGH — As the luggage carousel went round and round and round Thursday afternoon at Pittsburgh International Airport, Jordan Walker retrieved one of his bags, but did not spot his second one. Oblong. Hard to miss. It wasn’t making the rounds.

He could not leave the airport without it.

“My bat bag,” he said. “So I definitely needed that.”

He found it with the oversized luggage — naturally — and the bag that carried what brought Walker and his outsized potential back to the majors was on his way with him.

Walker, now 21, returned to the Cardinals’ active roster Friday night after a month with Class AAA Memphis, and he started in right field.
