A lot of weird stuff happened in 2011. The Cardinals were out of the Wild Card by 10 games with 32 left to play and ran down the Atlanta Braves to squeak into the playoffs, going on to win it all in unforgettable fashion. There were a lot of moments leading up to that outcome, though, that sometimes - and rightfully so - get overshadowed by the unbelievable conclusion. David Freese got conked on the head with a pitch. Pete Kozma broke Albert Pujols’ wrist (and then he healed with superhuman speed).
