There have been many ideas floated about conducting a partial Major League Baseball season this year, provided the coronavirus pandemic subsides enough to make that possible. And those games, if played, might be telecast in ways that are as unconventional as was last week’s cobbled-together NFL draft.
One common denominator in the proposals is that all games, at least in the early stages, would be played without fans on hand in order to minimize the threat of spreading the virus.
That would lead to the venues essentially becoming TV studios, because one of the goals would be to have as few people on site as possible.
