JUPITER, Fla. — An infusion of thousands of dollars to revamp the ballpark for pandemic protocols will allow Roger Dean Stadium to host hundreds of fans for every Cardinals home game during spring training.
When the Cardinals open Grapefruit League play Sunday afternoon against Washington, they will play their first game in front of a crowd since their last game of spring training a year ago. A total of close to 1,500 fans are expected at the ballpark for each of the Cardinals’ 12 home games at Roger Dean, and additional group tickets are expected to go on sale Saturday to allow for 21 percent capacity.
