New Cardinals lefthanded reliever Andrew Miller appeared in just 37 games this past season with Cleveland, posting a 4.24 earned run average, well above his norm. He spent three different stints on the disabled list with a shoulder problem, hamstring strain and knee inflammation.
“I’ve put in a lot of (off-season) work,” said the 33-year-old Miller Saturday at the Cardinals’ Winter Warm-Up. “I’m confident I have a good plan in place.”
