Munoz, Pena make Cards' team; Gregerson has hamstring injury

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. • The Cardinals nearly finalized their 25-man roster Friday morning when they optioned outfielder Harrison Bader, first baseman Luke Voit and righthanded reliever Josh Lucas to Class AAA Memphis.

On the flip side, manager Mike Matheny said he had told utilityman Yairo Munoz, probably the most impressive player in camp, and catcher Francisco Pena that they were on the club.

The only spot remaining might be a righthanded relief spot, probably between Mike Mayers, unscored this spring in 11 innings, and John Brebbia. But righthander Luke Gregerson, earlier troubled by an oblique strain, did not make the trip here from Jupiter because of a “mild” hamstring injury, according to manager Mike Matheny.
