ST. LOUIS • Before Friday night's game against Kansas City, Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak updated the media on the status of some injured players in the system.
"It’s unfortunate because you think of a club and how you’re putting it together, you always anticipate some ups and downs," Mozeliak said.
First off, starter Lance Lynn, who left Sunday's game with forearm soreness, was revealed to have a strained right forearm. He was placed on the 15-day disabled list, and Class AAA Memphis starter Tyler Lyons is being called up.
Mozeliak says he expects Lynn to return after those 15 days are up.
