Brandon Moss jump-started a Cardinals offense that had gone silent since the first inning with a pinch-hit home run that evened the score 4-4 in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Moss turned an 0-2 pitch from Brewers reliever (and former Cardinal) Michael Blazek into the third pinch-hit homer of his career. The shot to center field traveled 421 feet.
Moss, hitting in the place of reliever Kevin Siegrist, stayed in the game at first base.
Brewers back on top
Back-to-back-to-back hits in the fifth inning sent the Brewers back in front of the Cardinals 4-3 on Wednesday night at Busch Stadium.
