PHILADELPHIA • Jason Heyward and Yadier Molina, among the few Cardinals players hitting the ball with authority lately, provided a quick lead in the second inning Friday night at Citizens Bank Park. Before the inning was over, Kolten Wong had doubled that margin over the Philadelphia Phillies to 4-0.
Heyward, who drove in both runs the Cardinals scored in two games in Minnesota, roped a leadoff double down the right-field line to start the inning. Molina lined the next pitch by Philadelphia righthander Phillippe Aumont for his second homer of the season and of the last five days.
