Chris LeeWhen the second foul tip crashed into his mask, just above his eyes, and his knees buckled, Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina had two sensations he could remember.
“I was in pain,” he said. “I was confused.”
Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant fouled two consecutive pitches straight back and off Molina’s head, knocking Molina at one point to his knees and then out of Monday’s game and into Major League Baseball’s concussion protocols.
