JUPITER, Fla. • Once the news spread through baseball that Cardinals shortstop Jhonny Peralta would miss three months with a hand injury it didn't take long for other teams to speed-dial general manager John Mozeliak.
In this business "it's called ambulance chasing," Mozeliak said.
"I have made no calls," he added. "I'd like to see what we have."
As previously reported by The Post-Dispatch, Peralta had hand surgery early Thursday morning in St. Louis, Mozeliak confirmed. The Cardinals' All-Star shortstop met with specialist Dr. Charles Goldfarb in St.
