ST. LOUIS • It used to be part of his shtick at Louisiana State University as their highly successful coach. Skip Bertman, as his team readied for a series against Mississippi State, had a series of quips that he would unleash about driving to Starkville, Miss., and what the Tigers would encounter.
He was purposefully extravagant with his jokes, and they weren't compliments.
The Cardinals apparently had no such difficulties getting to Starkville this spring, as they revisited the Bulldogs rotation for a second time in the draft.
With their 18th-round pick, the Cardinals selected Austin Sexton from MSU.
