Jeremy Hazelbaker has only been with Class AAA Memphis for 10 games since being promoted from Class AA Springfield, but the right fielder has already proved that he belongs.
In Sunday's game against Nashville, Hazelbaker was 2 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs. He also doubled to boost his batting average to .459.
Hazelbaker started the season in the Los Angeles Dodgers' organization, where he was released after 14 games. The 27-year-old was picked up by the Cardinals and started the year with Springfield, where he hit .308 with 20 home runs.
With Memphis, Hazelbaker has already matched his home run total from Springfield (3) and has 16 RBIs with the Redbirds.
