Memphis first baseman Ed Easley tallied two RBIs in Thursday's double header and slugged a solo home run in the first game against Nashville.
Previously, Easley had struggled since being sent down to Memphis after his brief stint with St. Louis. He is currently hitting .190 in July with the Redbirds. His home run was his fourth with Memphis.
Easley had two major league at-bats with the Cardinals last month and didn't record any hits.
Here's how the Cardinals' minor league affiliates performed in Thursday's slate of games:
Nashville 3, Class AAA Memphis 2; Nashville 7, Class AAA Memphis 3 (double header)
Memphis was swept in its Thursday double header against the Nashville Sounds.
