When the Cardinals traded Stephen Piscotty to the Athletics, they received two prospects in return: Yairo Munoz and Max Schrock. Both have shown their value in 2018.
Munoz has contributed for the big-league Cardinals and has filled in as the primary shortstop since Paul DeJong went on the disabled list with a fractured hand. Schrock has had a nice year for AAA Memphis, and he continued to play well with a three-hit game Sunday.
Memphis had a busy day to end the weekend. The Redbirds finished a suspended game from Saturday, then played another game in the evening.
