When Stephen Piscotty was optioned to Class AAA Memphis on August 7, Cardinals President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak said the move would give Piscotty a chance to "hit the reset button" and "get on track."
Piscotty appears to have done so rather quickly.
Wednesday, Piscotty hit his fourth home run in six games with the Redbirds. For context, he hit six in 75 games with the Cardinals this season. Piscotty has hit seven-for-23 during his stint with Memphis and has at least one extra-base hit in all six games he's played in Class AAA.
Third baseman Patrick Wisdom also homered for Memphis on Wednesday, reclaiming the outright team lead with his 26th homer of the season.
