The Memphis Redbirds continued their win streak on Saturday with a 6-4 win over the Sacramento River Cats which also gave them their 20th win on the season.
The scoring began early in the top of the first when Greg Garcia connected on an RBI single to make the score 1-0. The Redbirds would extend that lead in the top of the fifth with two RBI single’s by Dean Anna and Dan Johnson and then a Greg Garcia bases loaded walk making the score 4-0 Memphis.
However much like the Redbirds on Friday, the River Cats would not go quietly as they would score four runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game at 4 which ended the night for Memphis starter John Gast.
