Mike Matheny, who guided the Cardinals to a 100-win regular season and fourth straight postseason appearance in his four seasons as their manager, has been named the winner of the Missouri Athletic Club’s “Sports Personality of the Year” award.
Matheny will be honored on Dec. 16 at the MAC’s Jack Buck Sports Awards banquet presented by Maryville University.
