CHICAGO • At first resistant to be pulled into the conversation Joe Maddon heightened with his accusation of the Cardinals "vigilante" actions, Cardinals manager Mike Matheny did eventually acknowledge that his focus is on the Cardinals "business" and how they conduct it is for them to decide.
Others can criticize as they see fit.
"We go about our business the way we go about it. I don’t know how else to say it differently," Matheny said. "We just realize that almost every day we have somebody saying something about us. And that’s just part of the business.
