Lance Lynn got through the first five innings without allowing a run, even though the Marlins got a runner on base in four of them. But after the Marlins got two runners on in the sixth with one out, he couldn't get out of that one.

Lynn gave up a three-run homer to Christian Yelich in the sixth, and the Marlins added two more runs in the inning to beat the Cardinals 5-2 on Tuesday afternoon at Busch Stadium.

The Cardinals got their two runs on a two-run homer by Greg Garcia in the bottom of the fifth, but that lead was gone quickly when the Marlins scored five times in the top of the sixth.
