St. Charles pitching pride Mark Buehrle will be the centerpiece for the St. Charles County parks department's new exhibit.
Featured in the display will be 21 professional players from St. Charles County, as well as their personal memorabilia.
Buehrle is a graduate of Francis Howell North High School and attended Jefferson College in Hillsboro until he was drafted in 1998 by the Chicago White Sox.
In July 2009, Buehrle became one of only 18 pitchers in MLB history to hurl a perfect no-hitter, dropping the gem on the Tampa Bay Rays.
Also among the 21 players featured players are Cody Asche, Doug Baird, Steve Colyer, Ross Detwiler, Mike Henneman and Dennis Tankersley.
