St. Louis starter Lance Lynn has held the Pirates at bay, having not allowed a run through the first five innings of Monday night's contest and keeping the Cardinals in front 1-0.
Pittsburgh has just two hits in five innings to go along with one walk and three strikeouts. The closest Lynn came to allowing a run was in the fourth when he allowed a two-out double to catcher Francisco Cervelli and hit second baseman Josh Harrison with a pitch, but Lynn induced a flyout by shortstop Jordy Mercer to end the threat.
Harrison has been hit by a pitch in both of his plate appearances Monday night and in four consecutive plate appearances overall.
