SAN FRANCISCO •Cardinals starter Lance Lynn had no lingering trouble with his right ankle after rolling it Saturday and having to leave his win at the beginning of the eighth inning.
Lynn did not experience additional swelling in the joint, and he suggested that he could go without a followup exam in St. Louis on Monday because the injury concern had passed.
He insisted he’d make his next scheduled start, Friday vs. Pittsburgh.
“I’ve had many rolled ankles in my life,” Lynn said. “I’ll be fine. Just a typical rolled ankle. … John Lackey says it’s a long way from the heart.
