LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. • Lance Lynn shined for five innings while his offense built him a lead, and the Cardinals held on from there to beat the Atlanta Braves 5-2 in Sunday's Grapefruit League game at Champion Stadium.
The win snapped a two-game spring losing streak for St. Louis and kept the Cardinals from dropping four of their last five.
Lynn's five scoreless frames included three strikeouts. He surrendered four hits, but all were singles. No Brave reached third base against him.
Tyler Lyons' first Grapefruit League appearance this spring was not as successful.
