The baseball no one knew was missing rested after its 3,158-mile, coast-to-coast journey for almost seven years in a dresser drawer near the Atlantic on Massachusetts’ Cape Ann peninsula.
It established residency nestled next to a cherished Little League ball once socked by the owner’s son for a homer and nearby this agreeable newcomer, a Mookie Betts bobblehead. Other neighbors came and went through the years as collector John Silva added to the drawer and sold from the drawer, flipping gems to invest in more.
