Lackey helps himself as Cards go up 3-1

Just as quickly as the Cardinals had lost the lead in the top of the second, they regained it at 3-1 Saturday night with two runs in their half of the second, keyed by doubles from Stephen Piscotty, who had been hitless in eight at-bats and Mark Reynolds.

Piscotty doubled with one out against Miami lefthander Brad Hand and went to third on an error by left fielder Cole Gillespie. Kolten Wong's grounder scored Piscotty and then Reynolds, who had two hits the night before, renewed the rally with a double to right center.

Pitcher John Lackey then knocked in his second run of the season with a single to right.
