Pitcher Zac Gallen has been shuttled all over the Cardinals' minor league system this season, making at least three starts in High-A Palm Peach, Class AA Springfield and Class AAA Memphis.
The uncertainty of where Gallen will make his next start hasn't effected his performance. Saturday, Gallen returned to Springfield after a three-start stint in Memphis and allowed one just one base runner in seven scoreless innings.
Gallen gave up one hit, a single in the third innings, and walked none while striking out six. In five starts with Springfield this season, Gallen's ERA is 2.35. His combined ERA for the 15 starts he's made at all three levels is a remarkable 2.
