I have written anything incredibly stupid for a while and with today’s game being and afternoon one, I figured now was as good a time as ever. Last night the Cardinals took on the Miami Marlins and pulled off a 4-2 victory behind the pitching of John Gant. It was a fun victory where the Cardinals managed to scrape together a few runs behind steady starting pitching, the bullpen held strong, and Dylan Carlson hit a dinger for good measure. It was not an extremely sexy victory, but in the long season, winning teams have to win games like that.
