Just a few games into the young the season, Jedd Gyorko suffered a hamstring injury that forced him onto the Disabled List. According to Gyorko, the injury was not serious, but ‘twas enough - enough to keep him out of the lineup for a few weeks, that is. Hopefully, that time is about to come to an end. Per Joe Trezza of MLB.com, Gyorko is set to start a rehab assignment soon:
Jedd Gyorko (hamstring) is taking batting practice, and has therefore resumed at least one baseball activity. He’s still about a week away from a rehab assignment, GM Mike Girsch said.
