With Stephen Piscotty still recovering from Monday night's collision, Jon Jay gets an outfield start in the first of Wednesday's two games with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
And Adam Wainwright has officially been activated to the 40-man roster. He could make a relief appearance in one of today's games.
To make room for Wainwright, the Cardinals put Carlos Martinez on the 60-day disabled list.
