MILWAUKEE • The hits just keep on coming for the Cardinals.
“Hopefully, we make it through the next couple days and rest up,” said left fielder Matt Holliday, who rolled his ankle when he slipped rounding first base in the third inning.
Already having lost four players to the disabled list in the past week, two other players besides Holliday didn’t make it to the final bell Friday night, the last one being former closer Trevor Rosenthal.
Pitching the ninth inning of a game tied at 3-3, Rosenthal had a spasm in his left hamstring after delivering a pitch, shortly after he had to leap to avoid running into first baseman Jedd Gyorko as the Cardinals were trying to field a sacrifice bunt.
