PITTSBURGH • Dexter Fowler, who suffered a fractured bone in his left foot while running the bases on Friday night here, will have to his foot encased in a boot for a month, said Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak Saturday. Fowler had visited Dr. George Paletta in St. Louis earlier in the day
Mozeliak said that after the month, Fowler would be re-evaluated but that no surgery was necessary. But given this time frame, Mozeliak said, “I don’t know,” if Fowler would play any more this season, which has only eight weeks remaining.
