If the Cardinals play at even close to .500 the rest of the way, their chances of becoming the ninth club in franchise history to attain 100 wins are genuine. Of their final 23 games, after the Chicago Cubs leave town Wednesday night, the Cardinals will have 17 against three of the worst clubs in the National League in Cincinnati (seven), Milwaukee (seven) and Atlanta (three), although Milwaukee recently took three straight from Pittsburgh.
The 2015 version of the Cardinals would be the first in 10 years to get to 100 but probably the one that had to overcome the most.
