CHICAGO • In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Cubs had the bases loaded, no outs, and a chance to put the game well out of reach for the Cardinals.
They didn't.
The Cardinals had a powerful answer.
Stephen Piscotty's three-run home run in the top of the eighth vaulted the Cardinals to their first lead of the game, and Brandon Moss added a solo homer for his 50th RBI RBI of the season. Moss' solo homer -- his third of this four-game series -- left his bat at 100 mph and it gave the Cardinals a 5-3 lead.
