Holliday leaves game after pitch to nose

The Cardinals trail the Padres 2-1 after six innings at Busch Stadium, though the bigger concern might be Matt Holliday's health.

The left fielder exited the game after a 95 mph fastball from Padres starter Andrew Cashner hit him in the nose, drawing blood. Holliday hit the ground but eventually left the field under his own power.

The Padres pulled Cashner from the mound after he hit Holliday. Reliever Brad Hand got the final out of the inning, a groundout from pinch-hitter Stephen Piscotty.

Jeremy Hazelbaker is in left field now. Piscotty stayed in the game and is making his career debut at first base.
