Holliday HR ties score at 3-3 in fifth

Matt Holliday drilled his club-high 19th homer to left field to catch the Cardinals up to the Cincinnati Reds at 3-3 in the fifth inning Tuesday night at Busch Stadium.

Holliday had hit 11 of his previous 18 homers on the road where his average had been .297, compared to .190, which was his average at Busch after the home run. The game-tying drive came after Stephen Piscotty had rapped into a double play, erasing Matt Carpenter.

Cincinnati starter Brandon Finnegan has given up 24 home runs in his 23 starts.

HAMILTON STEALS CARDS' THUNDER
