Heyward's sac fly forces 1-1 game into extra innings

NEW YORK • What could have been the lone run of the evening skipped through the Cardinals' drawn-in, shift-right infield and for awhile that's all Matt Harvey needed Monday at Citi Field.

Once he was gone, the Cardinals finally got enough to tie.

Jason Heyward's sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning knotted the game, 1-1. Matt Adams sparked the inning with a one-out single. Yadier Molina followed with a hit-and-run poke that moved pinch-runner Pete Kozma easily from first to third base as the tying run. Heyward lifted a full-count pitch to right field and Curtis Granderson.
