An inveterate sports television watcher, Whitey Herzog, Hall of Fame manager and former American Basketball League referee, invariably used to fall asleep while watching a late-night game only to awake in the morning and find himself watching the same game again.
But there is no live baseball or basketball to be watched now. So, when contacted the other day, Herzog said, “I’m ready to watch another movie.”
Herzog said he is good for three a day and he was told by a neighbor that he could have access to 150 videotapes in his basement. “Come down and help yourself,” Herzog was told.
