Hazelbaker's 'great camp' earns start against Marlins

JUPITER, Fla. • After Jeremy Hazelbaker entered Monday's game off the bench then hit a two-run homer on a full-count pitch with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Randal Grichuk praised the spring surprise's ability to make an impact as a non-starter.

On Wednesday the two will share the outfield together. From the first inning.

The outfielder Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak called "more than a nice story" will start in right field and bat seventh for the Cardinals in Wednesday's Grapefruit League exhibition against the Miami Marlins at Roger Dean Stadium.

"He's shown all of us that he's legit as a hitter," manager Make Matheny said before the game.
