Hazelbaker sparks Cards' comeback

ATLANTA • The Cardinals erased an Atlanta Braves lead for the third time in the eighth inning Sunday, going ahead 7-6 on two-out, run-scoring singles by Jeremy Hazelbaker and Stephen Piscotty.

The rally started innocently enough with pinch hitter Matt Holliday slamming down his bat after hitting a short fly ball to center with two outs. But, the ball dropped amongst a trio of Atlanta defenders and Holliday had a single.

Matt Carpenter was nicked by a pitch and rookie Hazelbaker, the flavor of the week in St. Louis, singled to right to score Holliday.
