Red Schoendienst, a Hall of Famer who played 15 of his 19 Major League seasons with the Cardinals and later managed the club from 1965-76, passed away at the age of 95 on Wednesday.
Schoendienst is survived by his four children, Colleen, Cathleen, Eileen and Kevin; eight living grandchildren (he had 10 total grandchildren); and seven great grandchildren. He was the oldest living member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
