Grichuk, Carpenter push lead to 10-3

KANSAS CITY • After Michael Wacha had pitched six sturdy innings, the Cardinals tacked on three runs in the seventh Tuesday night off Neftali Feliz, who got into trouble when he walked Jedd Gyorko and hit Kolten Wong in the foot with two out. Randal Grichuk knocked in Gyorko with a single and right fielder Jorge Bonifacio air-mailed his throw past everyone at the plate as Wong came all the way home first.

Grichuk went to second, from where he scored on Matt Carpenter’s double and the Cardinals hiked their lead to 10-3 over the descending Kansas City Royals.
