Cardinals infielder Greg Garcia will make his second straight start in Monday night's series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The left-handed batter has appeared in 10 games so far this season but Monday is only his third start. In 17 plate appearances, Garcia is batting .333 (4-for-12) with an RBI, but has also drawn 4 walks.
Garcia will bat sixth in Monday's game, with outfielder Randal Grichuk moving up to the fifth spot.
Third baseman Jhonny Peralta will sit for the second straight day. Peralta has made eight starts but has struggled at the plate, starting off the year on a 3-for-25 skid.
