A quality start is a familiar saying for Memphis lately, and Nick Greenwood continued the tradition on Monday night. Greenwood would pitch 6 1/3 innings giving up only two hits and two walks along with seven strikeouts in the Redbirds (35-30) 5-2 win against the Nashville Sounds (29-36).
Scoring quickly began in the top of the first inning when Tommy Pham connected on a two RBI single to give the Redbirds an early 2-0 lead. Pham went 1-for-3 in the game with the two RBI’s, a walk, and a strikeout. He’s hitting .333 in his early season.
