Grateful Eight: Reyes headlines Cards' prospects headed 'finishing school'

ST. LOUIS • The reason why the Arizona Fall League is often called the “finishing school” for prospects is because for a little more than a month every year, teams send some of their best and brightest young talents to the desert to play against some of the best and brightest from other organization.

As Matt Holliday might say: Iron sharpens iron.

The invitation-only league announced its rosters for the coming fall this week, and the Cardinals landed eight players on the Surprise Saguaros roster. Teams are given so many openings on the roster, and they are required to fill specific positions or offer a certain amount of pitchers.
