ST. LOUIS • At AutoZone Park on Wednesday evening, the Cardinals’ future stood opposite the Cardinals’ past and offered a six-inning snapshot of how much things have changed for the team, the game, and development since, oh, Larry Walker.

Alex Reyes earned his first career win at Class AAA with 11 strikeouts and six superb innings for Triple-A Memphis against the visiting New Orleans team. Reyes’ ERA actually went up to 1.80 as he completed his third start, and in 15 innings at Triple-A he now has 26 strikeouts.
