Anthony Garcia stars at Springfield and in PanAm Games; Luke Weaver posts 0.94 ERA over 5 starts at Palm Beach
ST. LOUIS, MO (August 3, 2015) – The St. Louis Cardinals announced their Minor League Pitcher and Player of the Month for July by honoring Springfield (AA) outfielder Anthony Garcia and Palm Beach (A) right-handed pitcher Luke Weaver, for their accomplishments on the field.
Garcia, 23, was the Cardinals 18th round (545th overall) selection out of San Juan Educational School (Puerto Rico) in the 2009 first-year Player Draft.
