In a third straight disappointing outing by a Cardinals pitcher, Michael Wacha is out of the game. John Brebbia replaces him.
Brebbia will have his hands full, as he takes the mound with the bases loaded and no outs in the top of the fifth inning.
Wacha retired the first five batters he faced on the night but could not recover from allowing Keon Broxton to his a 489-foot bomb, the longest home run in Busch Stadium III history, in the second. In the third, Wacha, gave up a run on a Domingo Santana single.
Wacha allowed two hits in the fourth but escaped unscathed when he struck out Brewers pitcher Zach Davies to end the inning.
