Through three innings, Michael Wacha was off to one of his best starts in recent memory. He got beat up a bit in the fourth -- both physically and in the box score.
Wacha had allowed just two hits and no runs through three innings. The one time he got into a bit of a jam, with runners on the corners in the second inning, he got Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco to ground into an inning-ending double play.
Bad luck struck Wacha in the top of the fourth. Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett led off with a sharp grounder that bounced off Wacha's lower leg.
