Rookie infielder Paul DeJong continues to make his mark in the major leagues.
Called up Sunday, DeJong has a hit in three of his four appearances, including Wednesday against the Dodgers when he doubled home Tommy Pham in the second inning to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead.
The plate appearance was both DeJong's second double of his MLB career and second RBI. DeJong hit a home run in his first-ever at-bat Sunday vs. the Rockies.
Cardinals starter Carlos Martinez has pitched well in his first two innings of work, giving up two hits and a walk in two scoreless frames on 25 pitches.
